Rumor Shows iPad 3 With High Resolution Display Would Arrive This Year

Taiwanese site, Economic Daily News, posted an article, which suggests that Apple will be releasing the third generation of iPad – iPad 3. And the resolution of the iPad 3 will approach 2560 x 1920 in a 9.7″ screen which would be over 6 times the current number of pixels used in the display of the iPad 1 and iPad 2. Now the resolution of the iPad 2 is 1024×768.

The display resolution of a display device is the number of distinct pixels in each dimension that can be displayed. The higher the resolution is, the more vivid the picture is. So the coming iPad 3 will provide users with a much better picture quality.

It is commonly believed that Apple will not release the new general of iPad only five months later after the iPad 2’s coming. However, numerous Android tablet and other tablets, such as HP TouchPad, Apple needs the new iPad 3 to keep them well ahead of any competitor.
