Hynix to Issue Convertible Bonds

Hynix Semiconductor Inc. said Thursday that its board has approved a plan to issue 557.9 billion won ($500.2 million) in convertible bonds overseas, giving the Korean chip maker leeway to expand as robust demand for personal computers and smartphones is driving up chip prices.
